Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose: This policy protects the integrity of the Tredovo platform, our users, SMS recipients, and the broader telecommunications ecosystem. Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund and potential legal action.

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs all use of the Tredovo platform, including its SMS messaging, AI, lead management, and pipeline features. This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service.

Tredovo is designed exclusively for legitimate service businesses that need to capture missed leads and manage customer relationships. Use of the platform for any other purpose is prohibited.

2. Permitted Uses

Tredovo may be used for the following purposes:

  • Automatically responding to missed calls from customers with relevant business information
  • Collecting customer information (name, address, service needed) for the purpose of providing requested services
  • Scheduling and booking service appointments
  • Following up on service inquiries initiated by customers
  • Managing customer leads within the pipeline for business purposes
  • Sending transactional messages related to services the customer requested
  • Appointment reminders for confirmed bookings

3. Prohibited Industries

The following industries and business types are prohibited from using Tredovo. This list is not exhaustive — Tredovo reserves the right to deny service to any business at its sole discretion.

3.1 Financial Services (High Risk)

  • Debt collection agencies or debt collectors of any kind
  • Payday loan providers or short-term high-interest lenders
  • Debt consolidation or debt settlement services
  • Credit repair services
  • Mortgage lead generation
  • Investment solicitation or securities promotion
  • Cryptocurrency promotion or trading services
  • Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid schemes

3.2 Political and Advocacy

  • Political campaigns, candidates, or political action committees
  • Political party organizations
  • Political polling or survey organizations
  • Ballot measure campaigns
  • Advocacy organizations conducting political outreach

3.3 Regulated Substances

  • Cannabis, marijuana, or CBD businesses (regardless of state legality)
  • Tobacco, vaping, or e-cigarette businesses
  • Alcohol businesses (with limited exceptions for service-oriented businesses)
  • Pharmaceutical or prescription drug marketing
  • Any controlled substance-related business

3.4 Gambling and Adult Content

  • Online or offline gambling, sports betting, or fantasy sports with cash prizes
  • Adult entertainment, pornography, or sexually explicit services
  • Escort or companionship services

3.5 High-Risk Solicitation

  • Sweepstakes, contests, or prize promotions
  • Lead generation businesses that sell consumer data
  • Affiliate marketing operations
  • Mass marketing or bulk advertising services
  • Robocall or auto-dialer services
  • Any business model based on cold outreach to purchased lists

3.6 Other Prohibited

  • Firearms dealers (retail or private) or ammunition retailers
  • Bail bonds services
  • Subscription trap or negative option billing schemes
  • Any business that has previously received TCPA violations or carrier complaints
  • Any business whose primary purpose is surveillance, stalking, or tracking individuals
  • Any business engaged in fraudulent activity

4. Prohibited Actions

Regardless of industry, the following actions are prohibited for all Tredovo users:

4.1 Messaging Violations

  • Sending SMS messages to numbers that have opted out
  • Sending SMS messages during quiet hours (before 8 AM or after 9 PM recipient local time)
  • Sending messages to numbers not associated with a missed call or prior consent
  • Using Tredovo to send bulk promotional campaigns to purchased lists
  • Spoofing business identity or misrepresenting who is sending messages
  • Sending more messages than reasonably necessary to address a customer inquiry
  • Continuing to contact a customer who has expressed disinterest

4.2 Platform Misuse

  • Attempting to circumvent platform limits, filters, or compliance mechanisms
  • Sharing account credentials with other businesses or individuals
  • Using one Tredovo account on behalf of multiple businesses without proper authorization
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform
  • Using the platform in a way that degrades service for other users
  • Submitting false information during registration or onboarding
  • Intentionally misclassifying your business industry to bypass the review system

4.3 Content Violations

  • Sending harassing, threatening, or abusive messages
  • Sending sexually explicit content
  • Sending content that discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
  • Sending false or misleading information
  • Sending phishing attempts or links to malicious websites
  • Violating any third party's intellectual property rights

4.4 Legal Violations

  • Violating the TCPA or any other applicable federal, state, or local law
  • Using the platform to facilitate any illegal activity
  • Collecting information from minors without parental consent
  • Using the platform to facilitate discrimination in housing, employment, credit, or public accommodation

5. The Tredovo Review System

Tredovo maintains a manual review process for accounts that select "Other" as their business industry during onboarding. This system exists to protect our platform, our users, and SMS recipients from prohibited uses.

Tredovo also monitors active accounts for usage patterns consistent with prohibited industries, including:

  • Message content containing debt collection language
  • Unusually high message volumes relative to missed calls
  • High opt-out rates suggesting unwanted messaging
  • Messages sent to numbers with no corresponding inbound call record
  • Complaint patterns from message recipients

Accounts flagged by automated monitoring may be subject to manual review and temporary suspension pending investigation.

6. Reporting Violations

If you believe a Tredovo user is violating this AUP, please report it to contact@tredovo.com with:

  • The phone number that sent the message
  • The content of the message(s) received
  • The date and time messages were received
  • Any other relevant information

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this AUP may result in, at Tredovo's sole discretion:

  • Warning and required remediation
  • Temporary suspension of SMS features
  • Permanent account termination without refund
  • Reporting to Twilio, carriers, the FCC, FTC, or other regulatory authorities
  • Legal action to recover damages
  • Disclosure of account information as required by law or legal process

8. No Waiver

Tredovo's failure to enforce any provision of this AUP in any instance does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future. We reserve the right to enforce this AUP at any time and without prior notice.

9. Updates

This AUP may be updated as prohibited use patterns evolve, regulations change, or carrier requirements are updated. We will notify users of material changes with at least 30 days notice.
